Ta’seel Educational and Management Consultancy express commitment to support the National Qualification Framework and other education reforms in Bahrain
In an effort to lead and keep up with developments and changes in the educational and management arena, Ta’seel Educational and Management Consultancy launched Wednesday 12 November 2014 the international symposium “Meeting the requirements: Institutional Listing and Programme Mapping ” the event took place in Diplomat Hotel, Muharraq Hall where representatives of the universities, private vocational and training institutes and private schools meet together to continue the successful achievement in educational and training sector that was initiated by the Bahraini Government.
The event aimed to build awareness and promote the importance of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), including Institutional Listing and Programme Mapping processes, policies and procedures.
The event was revealed after the announcement by Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training (QQA), the National Qualification Framework (NQF) as a mandatory requirement for all educational and training institutions as part of the kingdom’ developments effort to accomplish the Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 for which the knowledge-based economy forms one of the most significant foundations.
The international education consultant Margaret Cameron is the speaker of the event is an international education consultant who from July 2011, was involved in the national qualification framework initiative in Bahrain including writing polices, procedures and building capacity in Bahrainis. She was very much involved during in the implementation period of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework.
In her speech, Margaret has shown a great understanding of the National Qualification Frameworks and an appreciation of what it takes to truly make successful educational outcomes continue on a path of progress highlighting the good practices in the of qualification framework application from around the world and particularly Europe. Europe has recently undertaken an initiative to link each European country framework with the European Qualification Framework which promotes unity among European countries in this knowledge-based economy.
She expressed that she believes that the Bahrain NQF certainly stands out in the field of qualification frameworks for quality and improvement.
In addition to Bahrain, she has participated in projects to support other national initiatives in a number of countries including Scotland, Iceland and Croatia.
The event participants exceeded 130 participants from ministries, universities, vocational, educational and training institutes, schools and educationalist to also having the incubator of National Qualification Framework, The National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education & Training.
The event offered an opportunity for all participants to express thoughts and ideas, ask questions, engage with specialists, and to consider the impact that the framework will have on your institutional policies and procedures and exploring key developments and impact in the field. During the event, a practical exercise for all participants was facilitated on the process of placing qualifications on the framework.
